Through the streets of Paris our beaten man strolls. Though not physically defeated, his mind has seen to little happiness on his path. If only he were rich, loved, talented or fortunate... but oh? What is this? Though it is a small boon, it is a shining beacon. Perhaps he is rich in those things. Perhaps his day blinded him to his blessings. As the song swells in his heart, even for just this moment... perhaps life is good.
